Science Communication
“Experience is the most efficient teacher of all things” - Pliny
I am passionate about cultivating emotional connections to nature, environmental stewardship, and scientific literacy. I work toward this by integrating observational learning activities into classrooms, place-based outreach programs, and participatory science efforts. In addition, I am passionate about novel forms of science communication such as through interactive data visualizations and at the intersection of art and science. Please see below for my science communication experience through data visualization & art installations, community engagement & K-12 education, and teaching appointments.
